440 MHz?Most area 440 Ham repeaters are off due to government use. The following is about replacement 900 MHz operating and changing our 440 repeater to GMRS.
900 MHz?Some local 440 FM Ham activity is now on 900 MHz FM. Interested MVRC members started using the open WV6F 900 MHz repeater listed above in 2011.
GMRS?In 2008 the MVRC 440 repeater changed to GMRS for a trial, with light use. GMRS licensees/families may use it. It is temporarily off, but a substitute is listed.
Simplex GMRS frequency/tone above are also stated for typical bubble-pack HT (chan)/(tone). MVRC & SHARP repeaters use FCC approved radios.
