Welcome

Repeater technical information on our radio systems and club projects.

If you are interested in working on the repeater system then please contact us. Help is always desired.

The Mt. Vaca Radio Club owns and operates repeaters in the Sacramento Valley:

  • One VHF on 147.000 MHz with a 146.400 MHz input frequency and a 136.5 Hz tone
  • UHF repeaters for membership use

The UHF systems operate on the same frequency, but with two separate PL tones. One of the repeaters is, of course, located on Mt. Vaca and provides wide area mobile coverage from Chico to Modesto, and from Vallejo to the crest of the Sierra. The other UHF repeater operates from a lower level site in south Sacramento County and should provide mobile users coverage a little farther to the south. Because of the second site location, there is no Bay Area coverage, but users in the Sierra Foothills, especially places like Amador and Calaveras Counties, should find the repeater quite useful.

For more information about our repeaters, please send email or postal service mail to the addresses given and we will be happy to forward more information to you.
